Flutist Nicole Schroeder made her
Carnegie Hall debut as First Prize Winner of the 2014 International
Shining Stars Concerto Competition. According to the Epoch Times,
“Schroeder played with a beautiful, well-projected tone
undiluted by excess air, as well as subtly understated dynamics and
lyrical phrasing.” Nicole frequently plays flute in the
Broadway show Wicked and performs with a number of other groups in NY,
NJ, and PA, including Northern Tier Symphony Orchestra, New York Opera
Exchange, Joffrey Ballet, Berks Opera Company, Berks Sinfonietta,
Garden State Philharmonic, One World Symphony, and the Greenwich
Village Orchestra. She has recorded with rock band Symfinity and
collaborated with Seann Branchfield on the Branchfield/Schroeder Duo
album Gateway. In addition to maintaining a busy performance schedule,
Nicole enjoys teaching flute in her private studio, as a Teaching
Artist for Arts Connection in NYC, and at various camps and clinics in
NY and PA. She also serves on the board of the New York Flute Club.
Nicole holds a Masters of Music degree in Flute Performance from New
York University, where she studied with Bradley Garner.
